Dear New Member,
Thank you for joining Dragonball Xtreme, the home of active Dragonball Z role play. There are a few important things you must do first BEFORE you make and submit your character and I am here to help you do it correctly and to avoid a lot of annoyance when your character's template is submitted incorrectly. Please follow these steps below, read them very carefully before continuing.
Step 1:[/u] Read the Storyline completely!
You can find the storyline in this thread. dragonballxtrm.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=rpgandforumrules&thread=17 Reading the storyline will help you write a history for your character that doesn't in any way obstruct the history of the forum. The last thing you need is your history having something in it that didn't take place in our forums history.
Step 2:[/u] Read the Template Carefully!
The Character Sheet Template is the design of all character biographies on the forum. It has certain area's that have set minimum limits for how much you must write in order for it to be long enough for approval. You can find this template here, dragonballxtrm.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=joiningapplications&action=display&thread=19 On DBX we require each area to be so long or longer and anything shorter of the minimum requirements will not be accepted. To avoid this problem please look it over completely by copy and pasting it into a word program or note pad on your computer to fill out before continuing.
Step 3:[/u] Read the Race Sheet!
It's important to know about the race your choosing to play on the forum. dragonballxtrm.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=races this is the forum where you will find ALL of the playable races currently on the forum. Our create a race is not active currently so please do not try to submit a character with a race we do not have listed here. Select the race your going to play and carefully read the information so you can avoid confusion about how to properly play one. This area is also were you will find your race's special abilities or boosts. These are needed for your joining application.
Step 4:[/u] Filling out your template
Be sure to only fill out your template for a character in a word document program or note pad before trying to submit it to the forum. When your character sheet is complete you may then go to the Joining Applications forum and start a new topic. You will copy and paste parts of your template into the correct area's before submitting it. You want to avoid having to fix your bio over and over again and reading is how you will accomplish this. Please do not post uncompleted bio's as we will delete them in accordance to our forum rules.
Step 5:[/u] Wait for approval!
All joining applications must be reviewed completely by both Moderators and Admins. The moderators who's names appear in blue are Character Creation Mods. It is their job to look over your unapproved character for any mistakes in the application. These mistakes are such things as inconsistency with the forums storyline, short appearances, personalities or histories, incorrect racial abilities, and other things. Please do not be offended if a moderator finds something wrong with your biography, he or she will list the area's that are wrong and tell you how to fix it. When the mods find nothing else wrong with it, a Admin will go over it for themselves and tell you if you are approved and where you will start your role play. This process can be discouraging for some but if you have patients and read properly you will get through just fine. Should you need a mod to look you over feel free to message any of the members who's name's appear in blue to ask him politely to look over your character.
